Slide & Harmony is a semi-acoustic duo featuring Jack Urrutia on acoustic guitar/vocals and John Gentle on acoustic and electric slide guitars and vocals. Both are members of the band High Street Jack based in Bloomington, IN.

In desperate need of a creative outlet during the pandemic of 2020-2021 these two musicians started getting together on John’s back yard deck to play acoustic versions of the band’s repertoire as well as tunes that didn’t fit the band setting. During their second outdoor jam session they realized, “We could play gigs like this,” but, of course, there were no opportunities at that time. Once vaccinations became available their full band re-grouped and the duo project was put on hold.

Then in late 2021 a friend asked John if he knew an acoustic duo that might be available to play a holiday party . . . and Slide & Harmony was born!
